Foggy Bottom Run

Foggy Bottom has been a fun tradition to kick off the start of track season.  The deadline to register and have your shirts delivered to the school was yesterday, however, I am optimistic that if you register today that your shirts may still be delivered to Jacoby Creek School during the week of March 7th.  There is a reduced price of $10 for the 2 mile run, ages 0-14, which includes a t-shirt.  Make sure to list JCS for your school.

For those planning to be in track -Let me know if your athlete plans on running—I will look out for you guys and hopefully we can take a group picture before the run.  Below you will find the link to sign up.

 Best regards, Davita

Arcata High School registration

Eighth grade students went to orientation at Arcata High School yesterday to tour the campus and see presentations from many of the teachers of elective classes that are available to them next year. Today, the AHS course catalog and registration packet were given to all eighth grade students. The blue registration packets must be complete and in the hands of students next Thursday, 2/11, when AHS counselors will come to our school to pick up the packets and meet with students individually. All eighth graders will have recommendations from their science, math, and language arts teachers by tomorrow so that packets can be completed over the weekend.

If you have any questions, contact Arcata High School or your student's homeroom teacher.

Auction Tickets! Get 'em by Friday, 2/12!

Now is the time to buy Auction tickets.  The price for the ticket goes up after February break.  So buy a ticket or gather 8 friends and buy a table. If you are unable to attend, you can donate wine, a silent auction item, volunteer or just make a donation. This year’s auction will be a lot of fun with the '80s Dance at the end.  Support your school, have a night out with friends and bring your dancing shoes.
