JCS Garden News
Project FeederWatch
Braden O'Brien and Camden Narwold observed and recorded bird activity at the school garden feeders as part of our first season participating in Project FeederWatch, an international citizen science project (http://feederwatch.org/). The results will be on display at the Godwit Days Festival, in the Arcata Community Center, from April 21st to 23rd; so come along and enjoy the bird displays on offer and learn which birds were spotted at, or around, the JCS Garden feeders.
On Thursday, April 20th, the school garden will be open from 8am-10am for bird watching as part of Godwit Days. Please come and join in if you would like. Expert birders will be there to identify birds and answer questions.
Spring Plant and Lemonade Sale
Saturday, May 20th from 10am-4pm, the school garden will be open to the public. We will also be selling lots of veggie and flower starts, along with lemonade and baked goodies. This is our annual fundraiser, so we hope you will come and support us. There will be an additional plant sale during Garden Club on Wednesday, May 24th.

To improve communication and provide more information about the school garden, our website is online. Please access it to learn about our workdays, Citizen Science projects, and just enjoy the photographs of what grows and lives in our garden, founded in May, 2009.
